Chaz, you gave yourself and all your essence to all you did. All that got to experience you can testify of how selfless you are that even in your pain you would still find a way to leave a positive impact on others. You can now rest in your makers arms till we meet again.

Joanne, you believed in me when others didn’t. That faith gave me strength I still carry. You were more than a founder—you were hope in action. May Yahweh hold you close, and may your vision live on through us all."

I had the privilege of working closely with Joanne on bringing her vision to life through the foundation’s website. Every step of the way, she carried that vision with determination and compassion, always keeping the needs of Sickle Cell warriors at the heart of our work. Her clarity of purpose and passion for impact inspired me deeply. I am grateful for the time we shared, and I will always remember her for the light she brought and the legacy she leaves behind.

Joanne you were one of a kind. Generous to a fault, strong in the face of some of the hardest battles, and still have the best hugs (I will miss these). I will miss you Joanne and the lovely banter. May God grant you a very high heaven, for you have endured some of the toughest tests while on earth. Till we meet again my dear friend, then I shall hear you once again gleefully call my name, "Njagiii". Rest my friend, Rest!💔 You will be forever loved, and forever remembered.🕊️

Joanne carried a kindness that was rare, the kind that wrapped itself around people and made them feel seen, valued, and loved. Her gentleness wasn’t quiet—it was powerful. It lit up every room she walked into, bringing warmth, calm, and joy in ways words can hardly capture. In a world that often rushes, she reminded us to slow down, to listen, and to treat others with tenderness. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, her spirit continues to shine through the countless lives she touched. We are grateful for every moment shared, every memory made, and every smile she left us with
